Competing for Student Well-Being

The School of Medicine’s Wellness Committee hosted the first annual Husky Bowl, a weekend long Olympics-style event where dental, medical, and graduate students are invited to attend wellness centered activities to earn points for their schools.

UConn Simplifying Process for Students to Seek Readmission After Academic Dismissal

UConn is updating its procedures for former students whose academic struggles hampered their college journey, giving them an earlier opportunity to seek readmission and get their undergraduate careers back on track after academic dismissal.

Showcasing Summer Research

Summer Research Day celebrates accomplishments of student researchers. They were celebrated alongside their mentors and state legislators at this year’s Summer Research Day at the UConn Health campus in Farmington. The students—who participated in the Technology Incubation Program (TIP) Innovation Fellowship and Health Research Program—spent the past 10 weeks immersed in the world of research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Math Professor Uses TikTok to Tackle ‘Math Phobia’

What started out as a way to build a sense of community during the Covid-19 pandemic, Professor of Mathematics Álvaro Lozano-Robledo has amassed over 100,000 followers on Tik Tok while working to destigmatize math and increase exposure for his program.
