The Capital Area Health Consortium, the group of Connecticut hospitals that employs medical residents and fellows in UConn-sponsored programs, announces awards for Drs. Amdanda Frondella, Lisa Tamburini, and Irbert Vega who won Community Service Awards, and Dr. Jaclyn Olsen Jaeger won the T. Stewart Hamilton, MD, Fellowship.

The University of Connecticut is proud to announce the selection of three exemplary faculty members as this year’s Board of Trustees Distinguished Professors. This prestigious award represents the highest honor the university can confer upon its faculty, celebrating their outstanding contributions in research, teaching, and public engagement.

The 2024 U.S. News & World Report rankings for graduate engineering programs have been released, and UConn’s College of Engineering (CoE) has seen significant rating increases in several, including civil engineering, environmental health, materials, and mechanical engineering.

More than 4,161 students, alumni, faculty, staff, friends, patients, and fans came together to support what they love about UConn. A wide range of University projects, programs, and initiatives are getting a big boost from the $794,497 raised over 36 hours on April 17 and 18.

The Provost’s Outstanding Service Award (POSA) is designed to honor and recognize those who have demonstrated excellence in service to the University of Connecticut. The award will honor faculty whose service is exemplary and has made an indelible impact in one or more areas to enhance the University’s mission in teaching, research, service, or engagement.
